modular layout designs and was founded in Phoenix, Arizona USA in 1973.
In 1978, Sun-N-Sand moved to the
Scottsdale McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park.

In 1977, Sun-N-Sand created the Mountain Division that was adopted as an NTRAK national standard and added a fourth main line.

Club's public activities include:
Operating an N-scale model railroad exhibit in the park's Model Railroad Building.
Participating in the annual Railfair at the Railroad Park in October.
Participating in the annual Holiday Lights at the Railroad Park in December.
Setting up portable NTRAK modules at model railroad events in the Southwest US.
Sun-N-Sand is a member of the Scottsdale Railroad and Mechanical Society. All members belong to the N-Trak Modular Railroading Society and several members also belong to the National Model Railroad Association
